Board-certified Family Medicine  ·  Hegg Health Center

Fifteen years a nurse. Medical training on three continents. One belief the whole way: healthcare has to fit real life.

The long way here

Anything but a straight line

Every stop added something to how I think about medicine, and about the people it's for.

Restaurants & business

Where I learned that showing up for people, day after day, is the whole job. (The cooking habit never left.)

Fifteen years a registered nurse

Hospitals, clinics, and patients' own living rooms, most of it in advanced wound care. Nursing put me at the bedside longer than anyone else on the team, and it taught me to listen first.

Medical training on three continents

Medical school, then training in England, cancer research in Spain, and wound care research in Morocco. Good medicine isn't about having the most resources. It's about using what you have thoughtfully.

Family Medicine: home in Rock Valley

Residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, board certification in Family Medicine, and now the best part: caring for families here, for the long haul.

How I practice

Medicine as a two‑way street

A diagnosis doesn't put your life on pause. You still have kids to raise, work waiting, and a schedule to keep, so we'll build a plan that works with your real life, not against it. I care for patients of all ages, newborns to great‑grandparents, often in the same family.

“If someone walks out of my office a little more at ease and a little more confident than when they walked in, I'll consider that a good visit.”

Now seeing patients
